VIRGINIA MAJOR
Virginia Major is a distinguished leader, entrepreneur, and advocate for youth empowerment with over four decades of experience in public service, pharmacy, and community development. She founded Capricas Pharmacy, a benchmark for best practices in Nigeria, and currently leads Oddissy Ltd, Virgin Creeks Ltd, and Major Transformations Ltd. A passionate Rotarian since 2003, Virginia has served at every level of the organization, including Governor of Rotary International, District 9141 (2020–21), navigating her district through a challenging global pandemic and achieving multiple top awards in Africa. She also serves as Vice Chair of the Rotary Leadership Institute Nigeria and Ambassador for the Empowering Girls Initiative in Africa.
Virginia is a Fellow of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN), a member of the Federation of Pharmacists (FIP), and has served on the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria. She is a John Maxwell-certified Leadership Trainer, Life Coach, and Public Speaker, and pioneered the acclaimed Girls in Engineering, Math and Science (GEMS) initiative to support girls’ education in the Niger Delta.
A multi-talented creative, Virginia writes poetry, plays, and cultural works and is a proud member of the Association of Nigerian Authors. She has been honored with numerous awards, including the Pharmacist Award, Grand Award for Productivity in Africa (GAPA), and the ‘Must Woman’ Lifetime Award, as well as the prestigious title Conference with: Ama Opu Orubo of Opobo Kingdom by the Amanyanabo of the ancient Opobo Kingdom, King Dandeson Douglad Jaja for her service to humanity and mentoring of young women.
